  • Xuefei Yang performs with the Lancashire Sinfonietta

    March 22nd

    Back in Lancaster by huge demand, Xuefi Yang is an internationally acclaimed classical guitarist. The concert comes about before Yang releases her second album through EMI, and Yang will perform her special arrangement of the E Major violin concerto. The Endellion Quartet leader, Andrew Watkinson, will be conducting the Lancashire Sinfonietta.

  • Sleep week

    Week beginning March 23rd

    The Preston Pyjama march kicks off a selection of events aimed at raising awareness and money for the The Legacy Rainbow House charity. The charity is inviting North West companies and people to sleep in, sleep out, or sleep over to raise money in a variety of ways. The Pyjama March invites people to go out around the various bars and clubs in Preston dressed in your comfiest pyjamas. Sleep related dress down will be taking place in schools and work places, and the Big Bedroom Bonanza will be hosted at the Park Hall Hotel on March 31st, which is an entertainment filled family sleep over night.

  • The Living and the Dead: Paintings and sculpture by John Kirby

    Until April 15th

    The contemporary artist from Liverpool explores gender, religion, sexuality and race in his first retrospective exhibition of his work. The work on show will span three decades from his early paintings in the 1980s to the White Wedding from 2006.
